Marta Cavero Tomas, PhD, is Vice President of Intellectual Property, Contracts and Licensing, at Tisento Therapeutics. She brings to Tisento 15 years of experience in intellectual property, contract drafting, and negotiating and licensing and 20 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, Marta led intellectual property at Cyclerion and prior to that she was part of the intellectual property teams at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, she was a medicinal chemist at AstraZeneca. Marta earned a BSc and MSc from the University of Barcelona and a PhD from University College London. Marta is a strategic thinker who applies creative approaches to problem solving and to interactions with business partners. Marta is passionate about applying her expertise in law, business, and science to help companies develop and deliver medicines to patients in need.

Outside of work, Marta enjoys traveling internationally, cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.
