Marian Rafferty

Chief of Staff

Marian is the Chief of Staff at Tisento and brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Marian has worked alongside Peter Hecht from the early days of Microbia, through Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Cyclerion, and now Tisento. She is a thought partner to the CEO and responsible for fostering communication and culture across the organization, supporting the organizational strategic initiatives, and assisting the company leadership in facilitating the day-to-day operations of the company.

One of Marian’s loves for her job is working closely with a dedicated team who cares deeply about bringing medicines that could cure or change people’s lives in a positive way. She believes keeping patients’ outcomes at the forefront of decisions makes her job easier and her greatest wish is to help, listen, and be available for patients with MELAS who need our care, support, and hope.

Marian stems from an educational background with a degree in business management from DkIT, Ireland, and a degree in elementary education from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA.

Fun Fact: Marian is passionate about nature and walking with her dogs on the beach every day.
